Gene Simmons appeared on ?The Talk? discussing problems with his girlfriend of 28 years, Shannon Tweed.� We think Gene needs to put a ring on it and quick? before he loses Shannon for good!

Rocker Gene Simmons wants to ?work things out? with longtime girlfriend Shannon Tweed after confessing things are not ?terrific? between them.

Shannon left during an interview last week with Joy Behar when Gene joked about his philandering ways, which seem to be a touchy subject.

Gene revealed their relationship is rocky but he is committed to trying to make things right.

On ?The Talk?, Gene said, ?Things are not all terrific between Shannon and myself but we?re working on it? I?m not a plumber or a dentist. I?m surrounded by a lifestyle. And the problem is you?re surrounded by beautiful women. You can be an ugly Sob (son of a b**ch) like me and women will still throw themselves at you.

Sharon Osbourne also took Gene to task over comments he made about her family.

Gene was very serious as he said, ?For the record I love Shannon Tweed. I want to work this out. There?s no chance of me ever running out on my kids or Shannon. I will do anything I can to make sure I finally grow up and be a man. The bottom line is if you love somebody, you have to draw the line in the sand (and say) I can?t cross this line.?

Gene Simmons talks candidly about problems with Shannon Tweed:

And when asked by host Sharon Osbourne if his infidelities were to blame for the problems, Simmons answered: ?Yes? (But) they?re gone (now).?

They seem so such a great couple together, we sure hope they can work things out!
