Nikki Reed, Paul McDonald 'already living together'

Paul McDonald helped Nikki Reed celebrate her birthday in Las Vegas on May 13.

Their romance may still be new, but Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are already on the fast track of love.

The "Twilight" actress and the "American Idol" castoff, who first met in March at the premiere of "Red Riding Hood," are "already living together in L.A.," a source told Us Weekly.

Though the pair is still in the early stages of their relationship, Reed is reportedly doing what she can to help her musician beau land a record deal.

"She really believes in him, and her family thinks he's the sweetest guy," the source added.

The 23-year-old actress has reportedly been introducing McDonald, 26, to her contacts in the music industry. Most notably, she has already hooked him up with a soundtrack project on her "Twilight" co-star Peter Facinelli's new indie flick.

"I was telling Nikki I was looking for music for my movie," Facinelli told MTV News of his new film, "Looses."

"She said, 'You should look though Paul's stuff.' She was a big fan of his, I heard, and I thought it really worked for my movie, so I played some tracks over it, where we had temp tracks, and it just all worked. So I reached out to Paul, I sent him the movie, and he enjoyed it a lot, and he said he wanted to be a part of it, so I was stoked."

Before getting to know McDonald, Reed was already starstruck when she first met the crooner. Unfortunately for her, McDonald had no idea who she was and had to be informed by someone else.

"I didn't realize who she was, so I felt bad," he told OK! magazine. "I sent her a message saying, 'I didn't realize you were a big-time actress. I'm so sorry. It was great to hang out with you.' And then we started to hang out after that. She's supercool."

And the rest, as they say, is Hollywood history.
