Cheryl Cole took a break from her hectic US X Factor schedule to watch Mary Poppins on Broadway last night.

The Geordie judge was given the royal treatment as she was taken backstage to meet the stars of the show.

Cheryl's been busy upping her international profile of late, wearing a succession of glamorous dresses to a string of events - but the 27-year-old opted for jeans on her night off at the theatre.

Wearing a cream blazer and Donna Ida lion-print tee �115., Cheryl pulled off casual-but-smart - except for her super-long 'pants' which completely covered her shoes.

Just like her disastrous purple flares at the opening auditions of Simon Cowell's talent show, they looked all wrong.
