And if all goes according to plan, Kevin James will headline a third flick with his pal Adam Sandler. He's written the comedy Valet Guys, and Sandler is currently reading the script.

"We're two guys in our 40s valeting in Miami. We just get dumped on by a lot of people. A guy dumps on us too much and we take his car out for a ride. It creates a whole crazy weekend," says James. "It will hopefully be me and Sandler, shooting in Miami in January. He's got the script now. He hasn't jumped completely on board."

And if he does, it's another chance for James and Sandler to mix some work with lots of play. The two are buddies who hang out in real life. And his daughters Sienna-Marie, 5 and Shea, 4, play with Sandler's two girls. The kids even attended the mobile school Sandler sets up when he's shooting a movie away from L.A.

Recently, Sandler and James overlapped in Boston, where both were filming separate flicks.

"Oh yeah, Happy Madison Academy, in the Mandarin Oriental, in Boston. My kids went. They made three or four rooms. I walked into these rooms and they're preschool rooms, with sandboxes and blackboards. The kids are right there and continue with their schooling and have so much fun together," says James. "The kids get along so well. The wives get along great. We go on vacation with them all the time. It's really nice, especially in Hollywood, to have someone you can talk to and has been through everything. He knows how people treat other people."

Sandler, says James, "has been so instrumental in my career. He put me in Chuck & Larry. He put me above the title with him, which he rarely does. We became such great friends."

And Sandler is something of a role model to James, both in terms of how he's structured his career and how he tends to always work with the same people.

"Just to see the way he runs a movie set and uses the people he does. Everybody, opening jobs to them and helping them. It's the greatest atmosphere," says James.
