George Clooney is single and ready to mingle again after splitting with longtime girlfriend, Italian model Elisabetta Canalis.

The actor and his former girlfriend released a statement, saying, ?We are not together anymore. It?s very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy.?

George and Elisabetta?s split comes just a week after the model said, ?I am very happy at the moment? We are a couple that never gets bored.?

But she also hinted that she hoped to marry George one day, saying, ?I am a firm believer in marriage, in the future I will be married.?

Clooney, 49, revealed in January that he wouldn?t marry again.� Clooney told Piers Morgan, ?I was married. I gave it a shot?.
