Jeff Conaway's life was cut short, but the actor left a lasting impression on many people in Hollywood.
Shortly after the announcement of his death, John Travolta paid tribute to his former "Grease" co-star, who played T-Bird Kenickie in the 1978 hit film.
"Jeff Conaway was a wonderful and decent man, and we will miss him. My heartfelt thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this very difficult time," Travolta told E! News.
Conaway died two weeks after an accidental drug overdose, his sister Carla Shreve told the Daily News on Friday. He was 60 years old.

The actor, who battled drug addiction for much of his adult life, was taken off life support at 10:05 a.m. and was pronounced dead at 10:30, his sister said. He was found unconscious and taken to a hospital in Encino, Calif., on May 10, when he was placed in a medically induced coma.
"RIP Jeff Conaway. I'll see you in another life," tweeted Miley Cyrus.
Eva Longoria also paid tribute to Conaway on Twitter, saying her favorite "Grease" quote was about his on-screen character.
"Rest in Peace!" she wrote. "My fav Grease quote 'a hickey from Kinecky is like a hallmark card!' "
"Jeff Conaway is now riding in that big 'Taxi' in the sky along side Andy Kaufman," comedian Jeffrey Ross wrote about the late actor.
"Jeff Conaway is out. Sad. Thought he was the coolest guy in the world when I was nine," "Super" writer-director James Gunn tweeted.

After Conaway publicly admitted to having a substance abuse problem, he appeared on the first season of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab," in which Dr. Drew Pinsky tried to help him fight his addictions to cocaine, painkillers and alcohol.
"I'm saddened to report he has succumbed to his addiction, thus far we have no evidence of an intentional overdose," Pinsky tweeted on Friday after Conaway passed.
"[He] looked like he might pull through last weekend, but unfortunately that was not to be. Please continue to send your well wishes and prayers," he added.
Pinsky paid a visit to Conaway in the hospital last week and described the actor's state as "tenuous" and still critical with pneumonia and sepsis, a severe illness in which the bloodstream is overwhelmed by bacteria.
"We had hope last week, but that hope was just gone this week. His blood wasn't getting any oxygen," Shreve told The News.
"I loved him and protected him since the day he was born," his sister Michele Conaway said through tears. "He was one of my best friends and I will miss him till I see him again."
