Country singer Chely Wright is engaged to GLBT Civil Rights activist Lauren Blitzer!

Chely Wright, who ?came out? as a lesbian last year, is engaged to wed gay rights activist Lauren Blitzer.

Wright?s publicist confirms the country singer and Blitzer will wed in Connecticut in August.

A source close to the couple stated, ?They met through their youth advocacy work and say that their passion for Scrabble holds them together.?
