Woman crashes pickup truck into convenience store

ORANGE - A woman crashed her pickup truck into a 7-Eleven in Orange Tuesday, injuring a woman outside the store.

The driver was pulling into a parking stall about 5:45 p.m. in front of the store at 290 S. Main St. when she accidentally punched the gas instead of the brake, Orange police Sgt. Dan Adams said.

The truck struck a guard rail before hitting a woman and then smashing through the storefront glass, Adams said.

The woman hit by the truck suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, Adams said.

The driver escaped injury and no one in the store was injured, Adams said.
