Kym Marsh: I definitely want Jamie Lomas at the birth of our child

Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas both already have children from previous relationships

Kym Marsh says she'd love actor partner Jamie Lomas to be by her side when their baby is born.

The couple lost their son Archie just a few moments after his premature birth in 2009, so Kym is being carefully monitored this time.

She plans a natural delivery, so the former Hollyoaks star had better not be squeamish.

?Obviously I want Jamie there, and my mum,' says Kym, 34.

?But it depends on how quickly it happens.

?Unless the baby's breach or there's lots of bleeding, they let you give birth naturally because it has more benefits

'As the baby passes through the birth canal, it squeezes the fluid which helps their lungs.'

Although Archie's death caused Kym and Jamie, 30, to briefly split in 2009, in the long run it's brought them closer together.

?I think if you can get through something like the death of a child, you can get through anything together,' says Kym.

?He's been trying to stay very positive and is very supportive.

?There are times when you both realise how hard it is for the other.'

Kym is already mum to David, 15, and Emily, 13, from a former relationship. Jamie is dad to son Billy, 4, with ex-girlfriend Haley Lever.
